Khartoum, March 21 (SUNA) – The African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition (ACGPT) organizes a seminar, in collaboration with the Higher Committee for Collection of Weapons and Unlicensed Vehicles, at 09:00 a.m. tomorrow (Monday) at the Republican Palace on: (The National Project for Weapons Collection: Achievements, Challenges and the Way Forward).
ACGPT Secretary General Dr. Mahmoud Zainalabdin Mahmoud has said in a statement to Sudan News Agency (SUNA) that the seminar aims at boosting stability and peace in Sudan and its regional surroundings via supporting the National Project for Weapons Collection.
Participants in the seminar include representatives of armed struggle movements that are signatory to Sudan peace agreement, government institutions, civil society organizations and experts from academic and research centers and universities.
The recommendations of the seminar are to be submitted to the First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Chair of the Higher Committee for Collection of Weapons and Unlicensed Vehicles.
