Al-Burhan and Museveni Hold Talks in Entebbe 

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, Wednesday held talks at the Presidential Palace in Entebbe and reviewed means of consolidating the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The acting Charge d’Affaires at Sudan Embassy in Uganda, Mujahid Abdul-Rahman, said in a press statement that the talks between Lt. Gen. Al-Burhan and President Museveni included the ways to strengthen further the bilateral relations as well as regional issues of mutual concern.

He said that the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council tackled at the meeting a number of political, security and economic issues in Sudan.

He explained that the two sides have agreed on directing invitation by Uganda to all the Nile Basin countries for a summit to discuss the benefiting from the River Nile.

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council arrived in Kampala on Wednesday on a one-day visit to congratulate President Museveni on his re-election.
