Al-Burhan Calls for Ignoring Rumors Targeting Unity of Security institutions
Khartoum, June 23 (SUNA) – The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and General Commander of the Armed Forces, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, has called for giving no attention to the rumors that target the security system and its cohesion.
In his meeting Wednesday to the Armed Forces officers at the rank of brigadier and above at the General Command, Al-Burhan affirmed that the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces are working in unity and coordination to protect the homeland and citizens.
He stressed that the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support are working together to protect the transitional period and to help achieving the aspired democratic transition.
Gen. Al-Burhan stressed the importance of political unity between all the Sudanese people.
He said that no one will be allowed to instigate sedition between the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces
He affirmed the keenness to promote both the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces and to achieve more coordination at all levels.
The Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, also addressed the Armed Forces officers calling for neglection to the rumors that target the unity and cohesion of the Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Force.
He said that The Armed Forces and Rapid Support represent one force that act under the command of the Commander in Chief, reiterating his commitment to bringing about a democratic transition in the country.
