Khartoum, MAY 23 (SUNA) – The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdel Al-Fattah Al-Burhan chaired, Sunday, at the Presidential Palace, the meeting of the Higher Council for Peace.
The Chairman of the Peace Commission, Suleiman Al-Dibilo said in press statements that the meeting deliberated on the ongoing arrangements for holding the round of negotiation with the People’s Movement/North- Al-Hilo Faction scheduled for the 26tgh of the current month in Juba, adding that the delegations will head for Juba in May 25.
“The meeting also, discussed the issue of East Sudan and heard to a detailed report by the TSC Member, the Chairman of the East Track Committee, Gen. Shams Edeen Kabashi” He added.
He underlined that the meeting touched on trhe developments of the situations in the Blue Nile State and the appointment of the Walis (governors) in the Blue Nile and Darfur. “The Council of Partners will be called to convene tomorrow to determine the appointment of the governors” He concluded.
