The Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt-General, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan returned home, Wednesday evening, concluding a one-day official visit to Uganda and the Republic of South Sudan.
He was received, at the airport, by the TSC Secretary General, General, Mohammed Al-Ghali Ali.
The Ambassador, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Adel Hussein Sharfi told reporters that the Head of the TSC , during his visit to the Republic of South Sudan met President , Salva Kiir Mayardit and reviewed with him the bilateral relations and means for developing them further and Sudan’s efforts for maintaining peace in the Republic of South Sudan.
He added that the President of the Sovereignty Council thanked President Salva Kiir for his sponsorship and hosting of the peace negotiations between the Government of Sudan and the armed struggle movements, which culminated in the signing of the Juba Agreement for Sudan’s Peace, according to which the country entered a new phase of peace, security and stability.
