Khartoum, Dec.6(SUNA)-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Gen. AbduL Fattah Al Burhan has awarded Al Nilein Order (First Class) to the Indian ambassador to Sudan, Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal, on occasion of expiry of term of his office in Sudan.
Receiving the Indian ambassador in his office at the Republican Palace today, the TSC President commended the level of solid and progressing relations between Sudan and India in various spheres.
In a press statement, the Indian ambassador said that the Sudanese-Indian relations are historical and deeply-rooted, at the official and popular levels..
. On joint economic cooperation, the ambassador referred to a number of bilateral agreements between the two countries in the fields of investment, pointing to the promising opportunities, which require increasing these investments and accelerating their pace, to achieve the common interests of the two countries, especially after Sudan has become a destination for Indian investors.
He indicated to the continuous cooperation between the two countries in the cultural, academic and vocational training fields, which will reflect positively on cementing the popular ties.
