Khartoum, Oct. 12 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Gen. Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan has got acquainted with the overall security and political situations in East Darfur State, lauding the great role being assumed by the government of the state along with the native administrations in boosting security and the peace process there.
This came when Al-Burhan received at his office in the Republican Palace today Wali (governor) of East Darfur State Mohamed Musa Aliyu.
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council affirmed importance of provision of basic services to the citizens as well as boosting development in the state.
He also expressed his satisfaction over the success of the farming season in the state and the expected bumper harvest.
On his part, Aliyu said East Darfur State enjoys political and security stability, thanks to joint coordination between the security committee, components of the local community and the political forces in the state.
