Khartoum, Oct. 13 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, received Wednesday at the Republican Palace the Ambassador of Turkey to Sudan, Irfan Nazir Oglu, and discussed progress of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Turkish Ambassador said in a press statement that the meeting discussed aspects of the cooperation in the political and economic fields, and the need to and ways strengthen it in all levels, referring to the visit paid by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to Turkey at the end of last August.
He said that the visit of Al-Burhan provided an opportunity to revitalize the agreements signed between the two countries in the fields of education, animal resources, agriculture, defence and mining.
The Turkish ambassador described the cooperation between the businessmen in the two countries as successful and fruitful, pointing to the increase in the trade exchange between Sudan and Turkey to advanced levels.
