Khartoum, July 25 (SUNA) – Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Member Mohamed Hassan Al-Taishi received today at his office in the Republican Palace the Head of United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission In Sudan (UNITAMS) Volker Perthes.
The meeting discussed the progress of implementing Juba peace agreement for Sudan with special emphasizes on Higher Monitoring and Assessment Mechanism. The meeting stressed the importance of speeding up formation of the mechanism which includes besides the government of Sudan and the signatory movements to Juba peace agreement, Troika countries, Chad, South Sudan and others.
Meanwhile, TSC member received briefing from Head of UNITAMS on his visit to Kauda and meetings with leaders of Liberation Council of SPLM-N led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilo and the people in the area.
Perthes affirmed the importance of intensifying work to complete peace with SPLM-N.
