Khartoum, Nov. 28 (SUNA) – The Office of the Spokesperson of the Armed Forces announced in a press statement Saturday that the Armed Forces tasked with securing the harvest in Al-Fashaqa were attacked by groups of Ethiopian army forces and militias, who sought to intimidate farmers and spoil the harvest season and enter inside the Sudanese territories.
The statement affirmed that the Armed Forces repulsed the attack and inflicted heavy losses in lives and equipment on the Ethiopian side.
It pointed out that a number of the Armed Forces were martyred.
The statement vowed that the Armed Forces will continue to protect the homeland and defend its territories.
