Khartoum, June 3 (SUNA) – The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Ilham Ibrahim, received in her office Wednesday the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Ali bin Suleiman Al-Darmaki, and discussed the bilateral relations and ways of consolidating them.
Ambassador Ilham has appreciated firmness of the historic and brotherly relations between Sudan and the Sultanate of Oman in the fields of justice, culture and education, stressing the importance of reactivating the agreements signed by the two countries for the interest of the two countries.
She pointed to the importance of resuming meetings of the joint political consultation committee toward consolidating the cooperation between the two countries as well as the exchange of support and the coordination at the regional and international forums.
On his part, the Omani Ambassador, Ali bin Suleiman Al-Darmaki, expressed his keenness to work for strengthening the relations between the two countries, and stressed his country’s readiness to host the meetings of the joint political consultation committee.
He also stressed the importance of exchanging visits between the officials in both countries.
The Omani Ambassador praised the contributions of the Sudanese community and the role it has played in building the Sultanate of Oman.
