Khartoum, Aug. 8 (SUNA)- The volume of water flow of the Blue Nile at the Sudanese-Ethiopian borders registered today 728 million cubic meters as Khartoum recorded a water level of 16.92 meters, exceeding the flood level by 42 centimeters.
This was stated by the Floods Committee in its daily report today.
The Floods Committee forecast that Roseires-Sennar sector of the river would witness stability of the water level as Sennar-Khartoum sector would record an increase of 3 cm and Khartoum-Shendi sector would show an increase of 5 cm.
It also predicted that Shendi-Atbara sector of the Nile would witness a rise of 7 cm, while the Atbara-Merowe sector is expected to witness stability.
The committee called in its statement on the citizens at all sectors to take the necessary precautions.
