Khartoum, Oct. 5 (SUNA)- Cabinet Affairs Minister Engineer Khalid Omer Yusuf, received at his office at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers today the new Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Sudan, Mr. Giles Lever, and discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways and means of boosting them further.
His Excellency Ambassador Lever expressed his happiness over being present in Sudan during the important historical stage following the glorious December Revolution, affirming desire of his country to establish relations with Sudan that are based on partnership and boosting the process of civilian-led democratic transition.
The two sides agreed on continuation of the program of strategic dialogue in a view to enhancing joint cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
The meeting also discussed the big challenges facing the transitional period and the importance of making the experience of democratic transition in Sudan a success.
