Khartoum, Aug 30 (SUNA) – The Chairman of the Ruling Chadian Military Council, Gen. Mohammed Idriss Deby received, today, at his residence in Khartoum, the Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Al-Taher Hajar and reviewed with him the challenges facing the two countries.
The TSC Member in press statements described the meeting as opportunity for exchanging views on the situations in Sudan and Chad with special emphasis on peace process, issues of displaced and the refugees and the role being played by Chad in this connection.
He added that the meeting dealt with the implementation of the Juba Agreement for the peace of Sudan, considering that Chad is one of the guarantor countries of this agreement, referring to its role in the implementation of the peace agreement in Sudan.
Hajar announced the Chadian Military Council Chairman’s promise to send a special envoy to follow up the implementation of the peace agreement.
He said that the meeting stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the economic and security fields, and issues of transition
The TSC Member described his meeting with the head of the Chadian Military Council as fruitful and useful, stressing that its results will be in the interest of enhancing prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
