Khartoum, March 27 (SUNA) – The Commission on the Status of Women concluded its 66th session in New York, which was convened during March 14 -25.
Representatives of member states, geographical groups and all participating parties agreed on the Agreed Conclusions Document, which is a final document for the work of the Commission.
The document contained various issues of gender equality in the context of climate change policies and environmental adaptation.
The participants affirmed their agreement on all topics raised in the final document, and the Chair of the 66th. session thanked the Member States for their patience during the session, despite the great challenges posed by COVID-19.
The representatives of the participating countries and delegations thanked the secretariat of the commission, affirming their commitment to the document and work to integrate gender equality issues within the context and policies of climate change.
