Khartoum, MAR. 28 (SUNA) – Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, Monday made a phone call with the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, and discussed implementation of South Sudan peace agreement.
The President of the Republic of South Sudan has briefed Gen. Daglo on the latest developments related to the implementation of South Sudan peace agreement and the situation in his country.
The President of South Sudan assured his keenness to overcome the obstacles facing implementation of the peace agreement.
He appreciated the concern shown by Sudan government regarding the achievement of stability in the Republic of South Sudan and its endeavor to narrow the differences between the South Sudanese parties.
The Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has expressed his confidence on the wisdom of President Salva Kiir and other parties to surpass the obstacles and achieve sustainable peace and stability in South Sudan.
He stressed that Sudan will continue its efforts to support all parties to move forward in the implementation of the peace agreement for achieving stability in South Sudan and the peoples of the region, calling on all parties to stick to wisdom and patience to overcome difficulties.
