Khartoum, June 3 (SUNA) – The First Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, Thursday received the Advisor of South Sudan President for Security Affairs and head of the Southern mediation, Tut Gulwak, and discussed progress of the implementation of the Juba peace agreement for Sudan.
In a press statement, Gulwak said that the implementation of the peace agreement is progressing well, explaining that committees for implementing the security arrangements will be formed shortly.
He indicated that he also informed the First Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council on progress of the current negotiations in Juba between the government and the People’s Movement – North led by Abdul-Aziz Al-Hillu.
He indicated that the meeting also reviewed the issues of the border and implementation of the four freedoms agreement between Sudan and South Sudan.
Gulwak said that he felt commitment of the First Vice – President of the Transitional Council to consolidation of the ties between the two countries.
He praised the management of the First Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council to the peace file in South Sudan, pointing to said wide strides made for achieving peace and stability for the people of South Sudan.
