Medani, Sept.6 (SUNA) – Gezira State Wali (governor) Dr. Abdullah Idris Al-Kenain received today at his office in Medani a delegation from UNITAMS.
Dr. Al-_Kenain affirmed that the transitional period requires a big support particularly in unifying concepts and overcoming the difficulties facing the democratic transition in Sudan, adding that the state depends on the mission very much to coordinate between all UN organizations to support agriculture, health and education in Sudan.
On her part, the Head of UNITAMS delegation to the State, pointed out that the visit of her delegation to Gezira State, is part of a tour to a number of Sudanese states aims at briefing on the task of the mission, particularly the implementation of Juba peace agreement, supporting the movements of Abdel Aziz Al-Hilo and Abdel Waid -Nur to join peace, besides mobilization of financial support to strengthen the Sudanese economy.
