Khartoum, Oct.4 (SUNA)- The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk has commended Ministry of Irrigation efforts which aimed at setting up national water strategy to empower Sudan utilizes most of its water sources.
This came when Dr. Hamdouk addressed today the Sudan water strategy celebration organized by the Ministry of Irrigation.
The Prime Minister, described the strategy, as ambitious and it cops with the national vision, to meet the sustainable development goals.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hamadouk called for collective work to achieve this work, on the ground, in collaboration with partners, not only for providing supportive resources in the field of water strategy, but to benefit from their experiences and exploits all Sudan’s sources of water.
Dr. Hamdouk pointed out that he believes that Sudan has ground water which could make Sudan able to grow wheat in Gezira and North kordofan states besides use of other water sources to transform the desert into green meadows for food security.
