Niger, June 1 (SUNA) – President of the Republic of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum received, Tuesday, the Foreign Minister, Mariam Al-Sadig Al-Mahdi in the last leg of her current tour to West African countries.
At the outset of the meeting the minister conveyed greetings from the President of the Sovereignty Council and the Prime Minister to Niger President and gave detailed explanation on the Renaissance Dam developments and the Ethiopia’s insistence on the second filling and operation of the dam without reaching binding agreement.
The Niger President expressed pleasure over the important visit, referring to his understanding to Sudan’s position on the dam.
