Khartoum, June 22 (SUNA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mariam Al-Sadig Al-Mahdi met, Tuesday, at her office, the Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring and Assessment Mechanism in the Republic of South Sudan.
The South Sudan official briefed the minister on the pending issues in South Sudan, the delay the reformation of the legislative councils in the states and the establishment of the mechanisms of the transitional justice and other related issues.
Dr. Mariam lauded the seriousness and the commitment of the mechanism to maintain security and stability in South Sudan, affirming Sudan’s keenness to monitor the implementation of the peace agreement.
