FM Participates in AL Emergency Consultative Meeting on Ethiopian Dam
KHARTOUM, June 13 (SUNA)N – Foreign Minister, Dr. Mariam Al-Sadig Al-Mahdi, will lead Sudan’s delegation to the Arab League Emergency Consultative Meeting on the level of Foreign Ministers scheduled for next Tuesday, in the Qatari capital of Doha to discuss the latest developments on the File of the Ethiopian Dm.
The spokesman said from the office of the official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Renaissance Dam negotiations, the Plenipotentiary Minister, Omar Al-Faroug told SUNA that the Sudan Permanent Office to the Arab League requested holding of an extraordinary session of the Arab League’s Council on the Foreign Ministers level to discuss he latest developments concerning the Ethiopian Dam.
He outlined that the minister will inform the Arab Foreign Ministers concerning the consequences for Sudan if Ethiopia proceeds with the second filling of the dam without reaching a final, comprehensive and binding agreement that realizes the interests of the three countries as well as calling on Ethiopia not to tale any unilateral measures in this connection.
