Khartoum, Mar. 28 (SUNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the Ethiopian government’s declaration of a humanitarian truce to facilitate the arrival of aid to the Tigray Region, and also welcomed the commitment of the Tigray Front to stop hostilities in response to the government’s announcement of the humanitarian truce.
In a statement it issued on Monday, the ministry expressed its aspiration that these steps would facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and help ending the suffering of the affected people.
The statement affirmed Sudan unlimited support for the efforts for achieving a peaceful solution to the Ethiopian crisis and establishing security and stability in neighboring Ethiopia, and guaranteeing its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
