Khartoum, Nov. 30 (SUNA) – Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, participated in the session of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) , held in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, on November 28, heading the Sudanese delegation.
Presidents of Senegal, People’s Republic of China, South Africa, Egypt, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Comoros have participated in the conference, besides the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
The Senegalese and Chinese Presidents stressed the need to work to strengthen bilateral and economic relations between China and Africa for the development of the continent and its peoples for a better future.
The two sides also promised to work together to confront covid-19 pandemic, fight poverty, enhance peace and security and develop the agricultural sector for self-sufficiency in Africa and export to the Chinese market.
For his part, the Chinese President promised to provide financing and loans for the construction of infrastructure in the African countries, as well as debt relief.
