Gedaref State Government calls on organizations to expand programs 

Gedaref, Dec. 5 (SUNA) – Acting Secretary General of Gedaref State Government Mohamed Abdul-Rahman Mahjoub, has stressed importance of networking of the non-governmental organizations operating in the state for the benefit of the people.

Mahgoub, addressing inaugural session of the Third Voluntary Work Forum, organized by the Humanitarian Aid Commission in cooperation with the Alqam Center for Technology and Languages, ​​here today, called on the international organizations to expand their programs to reduce the effects of asylum on the host communities, hailing the voluntary initiatives that characterize the state and its role in community service in all fields.

 For his part, Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid Abdul-Kafeel Al-Adnani, explained that the number of national organizations operating in the state is 85 organizations that implement many programs, in addition to 32 international organizations serving refugees.

For his part, chairperson of the forum’s organizing committee Mohi-Eddin Mohamed Hamed said that the forum aims to raise the value of volunteerism in society and create real partnerships between organizations and society, in addition to highlighting social responsibility and inclusion of sustainable development goals in voluntary work.
