Government delegation affirms desire for reaching comprehensive peace
Juba, June 1 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council the Chairman of the government negotiation delegation, Gen. Shams Edeen Kabbashi has affirmed the delegation’s desire for reaching a comprehensive and durable peace accepted by all parties.
Kabbashi who met, Tuesday, in Juba, President of the Republic of South Sudan, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit said in press statements following the meeting that he briefed Salva Kiir on the developments of the current negotiations with the SPLM/N and the great efforts being exerted by the Southern Mediation, in this connection.
“The government delegation is ready to negotiate with the SPLM/N led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilo, on Wednesday, according to the program announced by the mediation” Kabbashi confirmed.
Chairman of the South Sudan Mediation Committee, Tut Galwak said the meeting means for strengthening the joint cooperation in political, security and economic fields, besides border issues.
