Juba, May30 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the Head of the Government Negotiation Delegation, Gen. Shamsedden Kabashi chaired, Sunday, at the Crown Hotel, in Juba, the workshop organized by the Woman Agenda Group on the UN Security Council Resolution (1325) concerning the participation of woman in peace process.
The Cabinet Affairs Minister and the Official Spokesman of the Government delegation, Eng. Khaled Omar sad in a press statement that the workshop discussed the issues of woman participation in the ongoing peace negotiations between the transitional government and the SPLM/N led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilo and the post-was requirements.
He affirmed the government commitment to the participation of woman agenda in the phases of negotiation process to reach durable peace and the signing of the framework agreement between the two sides.
The minister renewed the government keenness to achieve peace “The two sides have strong will and optimism to reach a comprehensive and durable peace”.
The official spokesman for the government delegation announced the resumption of the negotiation session tomorrow, Monday, adding that the government delegation will deliver its response to the draft framework agreement through mediation to the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement North led by Abdulaziz Al-Hilo.
