Khartoum, June 23 (SUNA) – The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, has stressed the importance of the process for uniting the original Democratic Unionist Party as this unity would contribute to the unity of the country.
This came when he received Wednesday in his office the deputy leader of the Democratic Unionist Party – the origin, Jaafar Al-Saddiq Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani.
He said that the splits of parties will negatively affect the progress of the democratic practice and the country, explaining that his proposed initiative “National Crisis and Transition Issues – The Way Forward” aims to fortifying the democratic transition and to enhance the political work.
The meeting tackled the issue of the unity of the Democratic Unionist Party.
The deputy leader of the Democratic Unionist Party called on the Prime Minister to support the unionists’ unity, affirming that his party will continue its contribution to the achievement of comprehensive peace in the current stage.
