Khartoum, March 29 (SUNA) – The Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has organized a workshop as part of supporting democratic transition in Sudan on capacity building for supporting transitional justice in accordance with the African Union’s policy on democratic transition.
The workshop, held at Al Sabalouga resort, was inaugurated today by official of IGAD’s file at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Asrar Ahmed Al-Sedik, in the presence of Director of mediation unit at IGAD Dr. Aleu Garang.
Experts from the African Union, Zimbabwe, Sira Leone and Rwanda participate in the workshop besides representatives of the justice organs, academicians, peace partners and civil society organizations.
