Khartoum, Dec. 28 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Hon. Yusuf Jad-Karim Mohamed received at the Republican Palace today a delegation of the Sudanese Civil Society Organizations Alliance, headed by the chairperson of the alliance, Jabr al-Dar Al-Tom.
Jabr al-Dar said in a press statement that the member of the Sovereignty Council was briefed on the tasks of the alliance, which are to monitor the transitional period, inform the citizens on the Constitutional Document and the Juba Agreement on peace in Sudan and the issue of elections.
He pointed out that the current situation in Sudan requires everyone to cooperate and coordinate to bring Sudan to safety, saying that “Sudan is a red line, and we must sit down and agree on national goals that lead the country to a stage of stability and security.”
He pointed out that the Member of the Sovereignty Council promised to support the programs and plans of the Sudanese Civil Society Organizations Alliance during the coming period.
