Khartoum, Mar 17 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt-General Shamsedeen Kabashi has affirmed Sudan’s keenness to boost and support the joint cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt to realize the joint interests of the peoples of the two countries.
The TSC Member who met, today, at the Republican Palace, the Egyptian Ambassador to Khartoum, Hussam Issa reviewed the development of Khartoum-Cairo bilateral relations, besides the implementation of the joint cooperation projects, especially Electricity inter-connection.
The Egyptian diplomat renewed in press statements his country’s full support to the process of dialogue between the Sudanese to realize the national consensus as well as the current development efforts and the country’s support in regional and international forums.
“The meeting discussed the overall developments in bilateral relations and spheres of joint cooperation in infrastructure projects” the ambassador said.
The Egyptian ambassador indicated that the member of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Kabashi, showed during the meeting a special interest in the process of electrical interconnection between Egypt and Sudan.
