Khartoum, July 14 (SUNA) – Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Shams-Eddin Kabbashi, Wednesday received in his office at the Republican Palace the Ambassador of Egypt to Sudan, Hussam Eissa.
In a press statement, Ambassador Hussam said that the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations in the developmental, economic, educational and strategic fields, indicating that the meeting was characterized by transparency and the exchange of views on issues of mutual concern at the bilateral, regional and international levels.
He said that the meeting also touched on the efforts being exerted to achieve the goals of the Sudanese revolution and the aspirations of its people at all levels, to reach security and achieve stability, adding that they also discussed the endeavors to bring the relations between Khartoum and Cairo to the stage of full integration and to move forward to implement the important strategic projects represented in the railways and electrical connection.
Ambassador Hussam indicated that the meeting also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and the benefiting from the experience of Egypt in the economic reform, agricultural and industrial fields.
He affirmed the importance of continuous consultation between Sudan and Egypt to ensure the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
