Khartoum, Dec. 5 (SUNA) – The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State on covid-19 pandemic showed increases in infection and death rates.
Dr. Bushra Hamid, the alternate head of the Higher Committee to Combat coronavirus pandemic in Khartoum State, pointed out after the committee’s meeting today, to the need to issue decisions to adhere to health precautions, affirming that Khartoum State will work with partners for providing financial and logistical support for the plan submitted by the Ministry of Health to confront covid-19, especially with regard to increasing the capacity of isolation centers and providing the required needs of working centers and cadres.
He stressed the necessity of vaccination as an inevitable means at the present time to avoid infection, bearing in mind that the vaccines in use now are recommended and approved by the World Health Organization.
He added that they are counting on society’s awareness of adhering to health precautions, that is, by avoiding crowds, social distancing, and wearing masks.
