Khartoum, May 24 (SUNA) – The Governor of Darfur Region, Menni Arko Menawi, has appreciated firmness of the bilateral relations between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This came during his meeting Monday at his residence in Omdurman with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Sudan, Hamad Al-Gunaibi.
Menawi has praised the outstanding role of the United Arab Emirates in boosting the efforts for achieving peace, development and stability in Sudan.
On his part, the UAE ambassador to Khartoum reiterated his country keenness to continue supporting the transitional government, pointing to the UAE intention to invest in the Darfur region and to take advantage of the capabilities and resources of the Darfur region to help achieving the developmental renaissance in the region.
