Menawi: Position of Darfur Governor will not Distance me from Homeland Issues
Managel, May 22 (SUNA) – The Governor of Darfur Region and leader of Sudan Liberation Movement, Menni Arko Menawi, pointed out that his appointment as governor of the Darfur Region will not distance him from all the issues of the homeland, stressing the need to preserve the transitional period and rely on the youths to build a bright future.
Addressing a mass rally at Shekeniba area in Managel Locality, Gezira State, Menawi affirmed the importance of concern with Gezira Scheme, the machinery and production inputs and work for success of the cultivation season.
He affirmed the importance of tolerance as a fundamental pillar for the nation’s recovery and adoption of a project for a national dialogue that includes all components to develop plans that define to governance of Sudan and to avoid political differences, taking into account the desire for absolute change.
He said that the worst things committed by the former regime were the separation of South Sudan and the genocide in Darfur.
