El Fasher, Aug.22(SUNA)-The Governor of Darfur Region, Menni Arko Mennawi has commended endeavors made by the First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC), Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo(Hemaiti to achieve peace and stability in the countrym describing such efforts as huge and considerable.
Menawi said, during a visit he paid to Command of the Rapid Support Force(RSF)-North Darfur Sector today and where he met with officers and non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the RSF and in the presence of the commander of the RSF-North Darfur Sector, Brig. Jido Hamdan Ahmed Abu Shoak, that the Gen Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has exerted considerable efforts in completing the Juba peace process , calling the regular forces for coherence to preserve the peace.
Brig. Abu Shoak, for his part, welcomed visit of the Governor of Darfur Region to the RSF Sector Command , stressing readiness of the RSF to guard and keep the peace as well as securing all parts of the country .
He added that the RSF and forces of struggle movements are working together to keep peace and peaceful co-existence in parts of the region.
