Khartoum, July 3 (SUNA) – The Governor of Darfur Region, Menni Arko Mennawi, Saturday morning returned from an official visit to Saudi Arabia, on the invitation of the Saudi Government, during which he held talks with Saudi officials.
In a press statement after his return at Khartoum Airport, Mennawi expressed his satisfaction over the success of his visit and thanked the Saudi leadership for their support to Sudan in various fields, including the role of Saudi Arabia in removing the name of Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism.
Mennawi indicated that he felt the desire of the Saudi public and private sectors to invest in Sudan.
He referred to an agreement to establish a joint Saudi – Sudanese company to operate in the field of investment.
He said that the Saudi side have the desire to invest in Sudan and Darfur region at the agricultural, energy and infrastructures fields.
