Minister of Foreign Affairs receives Omani Ambassador
Khartoum, March 20 (SUNA) – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq received in his office today the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Sudan His Excellency Ali bin Suleiman bin Saeed Al Darmaki.
The minister stressed the importance of bilateral relations between the Republic of Sudan and the Sultanate of Oman.
Ambassador Al-Sadiq indicated that there were some challenges that prevented the convening of the political consultation committee between the two countries, including e Covid-19 pandemic, which cast negative shadows on all countries of the world, in addition to the political developments that the country witnessed in the past few months, explaining that these challenges no longer exist and that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing to hold the meetings of the Political Consultation Committee between the two countries.
For his part, the Omani ambassador said he conveyed during his courtesy call on the minister the greetings of His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, stressing the strong bilateral relations linking the two countries and the importance of boosting them further in the economic and commercial fields, based on economic diplomacy.
