Geneva, May 8 (SUNA) – The Minister of Justice, Dr. Nasr-Eddin Abdul-Bari, received at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva the organization’s General Director, Daren Tang, and discussed Frameworks for joint cooperation between Sudan and the WIPO in the various fields of intellectual property rights and ways to enhance them in Sudan.
Dr. Abdul-Bari has expressed his ministry’s endeavor to promote work in all departments of the ministry and digitize to provide its services to clients with the required efficiency and speed, explaining that the Ministry of Justice is looking forward to increasing cooperation with the WIPO in the coming stage.
On his part, Daren Tang expressed the organization’s readiness to continue and to increase the existing cooperation with Sudan to help achieving the goals of Sudan government in the transition phase, especially with regard to the training and capacity building, in addition to the possibility of designing programs and projects to contribute to raising the awareness about the importance of intellectual property in various fields, especially those relating to the business sector.
