Al-Damazin Sep.28 (SUNA) – Ministers and Head of the Supreme Council for Culture and Information at Government of the Blue Nile Region on Monday took oath before the Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Lt. Gen. Ahmed El-Omda Badi , and in presence of the Secretary-General of the State Governement, Jamal Abdel Hadi Mohamed Ahmed, Representatives of the Head of the Judiciary, the People’s Movement and the Forces of Freedom and Change (FCC) in the region.
The Governor of the Region stated that the formation of the regional government comes within the framework of the implementation of the Juba Agreement on Peace in Sudan, indicating that the development program would be a priority of the regional government during the next stage.
He directed the ministers and all members of the regional government to work hard to achieve all the development goals and support the economy in the region.
The Governor also gave directive for importance of pressing ahead with the reconciliation program immediately and working for silencing the guns in anticipation of the prospects of the new phase.
He reaffirmed the importance of achieving harmony between the executive and the people in order to maintain the stability the region. has been experiencing
El-Omda expressed confidence in the qualification of the newly-appointed ministers and members of the executive body who took the oath.
He said that the new ministers would add substance to performance of the government at the regional and federal levels.
