Khartoum, Sept. 28 (SUNA) -At the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Korea, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Al-Hadi Mohamed Ibrahim, and Minister of Industry Ibrahim El Sheikhwill pay a visit to the Republic of Korea from September 29th to October 1st.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Sudan said in a press statement today the ministers will have meetings with relevant Korean authorities to further strengthen the bilateral economic ties between Korea and Sudan, including H.E. Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Lee Seong-ho, Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs in MOFA, Mr. Bang Moon-kyu, President of the Korean Export-Import Bank (KEXIM), and high-level officers in the Korean Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and representatives from Korea’s International Construction Information Service.
The statement pointed out that on September 30th, the ministers will deliver their keynote speech at the “Korea-Sudan Business Seminar,” hosted by the Korea-Africa Foundation.
In addition, the Ministers will have separate meetings with the key Korean companies and have a tour for the industrial sites.
Ambassador Lee Sangjeong, the Korean Ambassador to the Republic of the Sudan, said “the visit of the two Sudanese Ministers will further promote high-level exchanges between the two countries, and create another strong momentum for revitalizing the bilateral economic cooperation between Korea and Sudan. Particularly at this critical juncture where Sudan is in the pursuit of realizing peace, prosperity, and democracy, the Korean government is strongly committed to supporting Sudan’s transitional government and the Sudanese people.”
