Sinja, Oct.10 (SUNA)-The waters level of the Blue Nile river has risen again today at Sinja town, where it recorded 16,00 meters with an increase of 15 centimeters from the yesterday’s level.
The Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Head of the Technical Committee for the Wet Season Emergencies in Sennar State , Engineer Abdalla Mohamed Adam, said in a statement to SUNA that the rise was due to increase of flow of waters from Ethiopian Plateau and opening the Roseries Dam Reservoir to pass these waters.
He added that the increase of water level would affect the water stations along the Nile , indicating to the need of the State to irrigate the agricultural crops.
