The Acting Minister of Infrastructure and  Head of the Technical Committee for the Wet Season  Emergencies in Sennar State , Engineer Abdalla Mohamed Adam, said in a statement to SUNA that  the rise  was due to  increase of flow of waters from Ethiopian Plateau  and opening the Roseries Dam Reservoir to pass these waters.

He added that the increase of water level  would affect the water stations along the Nile , indicating  to the  need of the State  to irrigate  the agricultural crops.
