Khartoum, Sep.1(SUNA) – The water level of the Nile recorded at Khartoum today 17.21 meters, which is less than the highest recorded level by 45 centimeters, while it registered at Shendi town 17.98 meters.
This was announced by the Flood Committee of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in its regular report today.
The report said the volume of water flow of the Blue Nile recorded 580 million cubic meters a day, Atbara River 195 million cubic meters and the White Nile 130 million cubic meters.
The committee forecast the water level of the Nile would be stable at Khartoum tomorrow at 17.21 meters.
