President of Democratic Republic of Congo Arrives in Khartoum
Khartoum, May 8 (SUNA) – The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, arrived in Khartoum on Saturday in an official one-day visit.
He was received at Khartoum Airport by the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and a number of ministers and senior officials along with members of the diplomatic corps and the community of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Khartoum.
President Félix Tshisekedi, will meet in Khartoum with the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk.
A session of talks between the Sudanese and Congolese sides is due to take place, in which the Sudanese side will be headed by President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, while the Congolese side will be chaired by President Félix Tshisekedi, to discuss the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them further, in addition to reviewing international issues and regional developments of mutual concern.
