Press Delegation to Make Documentary Visit to Refugee Camps in Eastern States 

Khartoum, June 11 (SUNA) – The Director of Information and Public Relations at the Commission for Refugees, Iqbal Abdalla Ali, announced that the commission in the process of organizing a documentary media visit to the refugee camps (Ethiopians and Eritreans) in Kassala and Gedarif States, starting from tomorrow Sunday) and continuing for seven days.

The Director of Information and Public Relations said that this visit comes as a continuation of the program that was launched last year with the aim of documenting the situation at these camps and reflecting the great role played by the Commission for Refugees in overcoming the difficulties facing refugees.

She indicated that the delegation includes representatives of a number of media and press institutions, headed by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), adding that the delegation will work out field reports and press interviews with the aim of reflecting the reality at those camps, in addition to conducting meetings with officials to know the official point of view.

It is to be noted that the program includes a visits to Wad Sharifi Camp and the reception centers in Hamadayet, Qarfa, Iskan Al-Girba, and Kilo 26, Um Gargour and Abbouda Camp in Kassala State, adding that in Gedarif State, the delegation would meet with the Wali (governor) of the state, and will visit Babiker and Basunda Camps.
