Attorney General, Mubarak Mahmud received today, at the Public Prosecution HQs the visiting Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Asad Khan and the accompanied delegation.
The Attorney General congratulated the ICC prosecutor on the occasion of his assumption of the position after his election to succeed the former prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda.
The two sides reviewed the Public Prosecution-ICC cooperation concerning the war crimes and the elements of the defunct regime wanted by the international justice.
The ICC Prosecutor lauded the level of cooperation with the Sudanese concerned institutions, explaining that his visit to Sudan is considered the second of its kind since he took office, a matter that reflects the concern given by the court to the issues of Darfur.
