Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Raja Nichole Abdul-Maseeh, has praised the level of tolerance and religious coexistence in Sudan, stressing that the characteristic of coexistence is the dominant feature among the people of the country.
In her speech on the occasion of the celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the birth of the retired Cardinal Gabriel Zubair, on Monday evening by the Embassy of the Holy See (Vatican) in Khartoum, she said that Cardinal Gabriel has established international relations with organizations that are concerned with issues of religious and peaceful coexistence, in addition to his sincerity and dedication in serving the Church, caring for Christians and addressing to their issues as well as his contribution to creating a great deal of trust between the religious leaders in Sudan of all sects and beliefs.
The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Embassy of the Holy See for organizing this ceremony, which represents a touch of respect to retired Cardinal Gabriel Zubair.
