Khartoum, Sep.1(SUNA)- The procedures of drilling 500 wells in the various States of Sudan which will be implemented through the Saudi Arabia grant which is estimated at 40 million dollars began today at premises of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources.
Minister of the Irrigation, Professor Yasser Abbas, underlined concern of the government of the transitional period and Ministry of Irrigation with the drinking water sector.
He revealed that extensive consultations are underway with the various states to determine the areas which are in need of the drinking water according to the water atlas
The Minister of Irrigation expressed appreciation to the Kingdom of the Saudi Arab for providing the grant to the Sudanese people.
