The head of Sudan’s sovereignty council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, on Thursday issued a constitutional decree setting up a federal system of government in the country’s various regions, the state-run Sudan News Agency reported.
The decision would go into effect after the convening of a conference that defines the regions, their number, borders and administration, SUNA said.
