Troika supports civilian-led democratic transition process in Sudan
Khartoum, Sept 21 (SUNA) – The Troika member-states, on Tuesday, expressed strong support to the democratic transition process led by the civilians in the country.
The Troika, (US, United kingdom and Britain) rejected any attempt to undermine the efforts of the Sudanese people to realize prosperous, peaceful and democratic future.
The three countries urged the civilian and military components, in addition to all the effective politicians to work together to prevent the challenges facing the democratic transition, establishment of the transitional institutions and addressing tension in eastern Sudan and other areas.
“Those who seek to undermine the civilian-led transition must understand that Sudan’s international partners stand firmly behind the people and transitional government of Sudan,” the Troika said.
